How it all started...

Sarah Spooner, owner and founder of Four Sisters Boutique

Sarah Spooner is the owner and founder of Four Sisters Boutique and FSB Designs. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Sarah has always had a passion for entrepreneurship, something that runs deeply in her family. Her grandfather owned Milder Manor, a nursing home in Lincoln, Nebraska, and her grandmother was a wedding dress buyer for Kilpatrick’s, later becoming Younkers, inspiring Sarah’s love for fashion, creativity and building meaningful connections with people.

What started as a dream inspired by her grandmother Frances and her three sisters has grown into an incredible business and community that Sarah is deeply proud of today.

Sarah opened Four Sisters Boutique in Omaha, Nebraska in March 2015 at just 26 years old with a vision of creating a shopping experience that felt personal, welcoming and full of unique styles. Since then, the business has grown to a team of 20+ employees, a storefront in Rockbrook Village, an online store that ships worldwide and an amazing community of customers both in store and online.

HOW IT’S GROWN...

As the business evolved, Sarah launched FSB Designs, the creative and custom merchandise division of the company. Through FSB Designs, Sarah and her team design and produce custom apparel, graphics and merchandise for businesses, schools, organizations and collegiate collaborations. Their focus is creating pieces people genuinely want to wear while helping brands bring their vision to life in a fun and creative way.

Over the years, Four Sisters Boutique has become known for its unique collections, strong social media presence and signature graphic apparel, especially its collegiate and Nebraska-inspired pieces.

What means the most to Sarah, though, is the team and community behind it all. Watching the business grow from a small idea into something that supports an amazing team, reaches customers across the world and continues to evolve creatively has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

At the heart of Four Sisters Boutique is the goal of helping women feel confident and excited about what they’re wearing, whether they’re shopping with us in Omaha or online from across the country.

MEET THE FOUR SISTERS

The four Osoff sisters: Pearl, Frances, Roselle and Evelyn

Beginning with Sarah’s great-grandfather, Russian immigrant Hyman Osoff, retail runs in the family. Hyman arrived in America with $17 to his name, worked hard and eventually became the owner of Osoff’s Hardware, originally located at 16th and Davenport in Omaha, Nebraska.

Hyman had four daughters: Pearl, Frances, Roselle and Evelyn, locally known as “The Beautiful Osoff Girls.”

Sarah always knew she wanted a store with a story, and naming Four Sisters Boutique after these four women was the perfect way to honor them.

Pearl, the oldest, was the prim and proper one, rarely seen with a hair out of place. She refused to wear white shoes after Labor Day and was one of the last women in Omaha to wear slacks because she didn’t consider them proper for women.

Frances, Sarah’s grandmother, was the fashionista. She was sophisticated, stylish and had the stature to wear anything with confidence. As the head of the bridal department, she had a way of making every bride feel like a movie star. Her stories of fashion and buying trips played a huge role in Sarah’s love of the industry.

Roselle, the golden one, moved to Los Angeles after college and embraced the West Coast lifestyle. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday, making her story and connection to the Four Sisters name even more special.

Evelyn, the youngest sister, was known as the perky one. She loved singing and dancing, and her clothing often reflected her fun, colorful personality.

With each of their personalities in mind, Sarah has always tried to honor the four sisters throughout the details of the brand, from the store itself to the shopping bags, window displays, website and everything in between.
